I hate Internet Explorer

Shayna told me that my site was acting all fucked up on internet explorer. Not the first time this has happened.

Spent the last hour poring over the source code to my template to see what was causing a syntax error. Not fun times.

Am going to re-iterate my support for Mozilla Firefox. It makes the web a much better place through unparalleled support for web standards and new developments therein.

Internet Explorer is a piece of hackwork deemed a security risk by the federal government.

I wholeheartedly suggest that you use Firefox. And not just because I'm chasing my tail trying to fix this. You'll love it; I swear.

I am ordering you all, from dear Alice's throne to which I have been declared the steward, to vote for Pia Savage and Bring it On in the finals of the Koufax awards. You're on notice.

UPDATE:

Ok, so I finally figured out what the matter was. somehow the entire text of an email I wrote found its way into the code for the post below. Am changing both my passwords for Blogger and Gmail. And will threaten physical harm upon the head of the person I believe to be responsible. You do not fuck with a person's written work. I cannot stress this enough. To fuck with one's written work is to invite severe beatings. Do it enough and someone's going to RSVP.

Anyways, this blog looks shit-ass ugly on IE. I think you'll thank me if you switch to Firefox

Drove to Daddy's Junky Music tonight to turn in my amp and have it fixed. Was allowed a free rental; a 15 watt amp with all sorts of nifty special effects. If I can find a cord and adapter so I can run a line from my amp to my computer I will try and take advantage of this recording-wise. I know that Shayna has been asking after Ophelia.

Turns out that I'm caption winner over at Sar's for the second week in a row. Pretty sure that my reign ends here though.

I urge you all to get out the word, about Koufax. Pia Savage deserves a gorram award!

  1. Internet Explorer is evil.

I have had way less problems since switching over to Firefox. I only pray hackers don't start messing with that now too, since usage has been growing at such a tremendous pace.

My blog had the black background with white font for a little bit, but I got way too many complaints that it gave people headaches. So I switched to a greyish background and black font.

I still love the look of the black though.

  2. Do things really look that different on Firefox? I used to use it but it is sooooo slow with my connection here in Spain. I shall have to try it again some day! Glad you fixed the problem though. Template problems are a bitch and hackers must be shot!

  4. EW, you should try for the triple crown! I liked the water closest one last week.

Loved the comment on my blog; dunno if I could do THAT to him, but I wouldn't mind kicking his ass.

Shayna's site has been a bugger since she DL Firefox, and so did Shell's (aka Pixie). So I think I am gonna play it safe. For now.

  5. Pheonix: Also it's just so much better for blogging. I open all of the links on my sidebar in one window and read one while the rest load. It's great.

Miz B: Really? Always been faster for me. I can't say it enough. You don't mess with a person's written work.

IM Dedd: Great to hear from you. I've enjoyed your comics. Ever heard of comicsgenesis? Think you might like it.

Cowgirl: Well, I made another caption, but I'm not sure if it's as good.

I'm not sure I could do it either. The psychosomatic manifestation of pain would be overwhelming. But I tell ya, if you did he'd never do it again.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The browser Shayna uses doesn't have any affect on how her website performs...

  6. I downloaded Firefox to give it a go. Speedwise it is the same as IE for me and it totally, TOTALLY fucks up my site! I am baffled because I have only heard good things! And your site looks the same on Firefox as it does on IE for me.

    I don't get it!

I may just send you a screenshot so you can see the difference! I gotta go now but if you want to see, I will do just that.

  7. It looks the same? When I use IE to view my site the font is all blown up and ugly.

As for yours, I think I know what you're talking about and that's only happened recently. It's too wide, right?

  10. See, this is why you are more of an iPro than you know ;)

Seriously, it's a pain in the ass redesigning a blog. When I went three columns in Blogger, it took me about 60 hours (I hand code) because I was trying to make sure it worked on the big three browsers.

Fuck IE. I have to use it at work for some things, but otherwise...

  11. I like the new browser... just getting use to it. :)

Huh? What's wrong with my site? Why is it a bugger? :( It looks fine from here... although somehow I had bloglines code mixed in with my comments code... so some people were being redirected to bloglines when trying to comment... But, I fixed that code and changed my passwords as well.

Let me know if something is wrong... :(

  13. I love firefox... the pretty graphics pulled me in, but the little link bar under the address bar won my heart.
