The McCain campaign has been quick to quote Biden's criticism of Obama during the primaries, which would suggest that either they won't be picking Romney (which also would be a Good Thing) or that they're a bunch of idiots.
I'm not surprised they chose him. I think the campaign had come to the conclusion they needed a white male who at times appears a bit of a bigot in order to get the older white male vote. I'm convinced of it as a matter of fact.
