The following is not a retraction, but a clarification. In the rant below, it may appear that I bear hostility towards those who refuse to use "foul" language. Such would be childish, and above all ignorant. However, reading it over, I can see how there could be a misunderstanding.

I have nothing else to report at the moment, though I should have something soonish... Not that I'm expecting anything specific. Its just that I'll have to do something interesting eventually.

Oh right. System of a Down and The Mars Volta are going on tour in August. But they don't stop in Boston, or anyplace nearer than Philly. I am not pleased with this development.

  1. well, technically its SOAD, but whatever.

turns out that they extended the tour or something, or I missed some dates on the list. Apparently they're playing in Worchester, MA. Which is still pretty damn far for someone who is, as am I, automotively impaired. Maybe I'll find a way.

  2. as long as you don't whine "Limp Bizkit" at the top of your lungs to ruin what could have actually been a good song, its cool.

  3. I'm following the game thread of Sons of Sam Horn for tonight's Sox/TB game. Someone just posted:

"I can't believe Lou is changing pitchers for Millar. The Venus de Milo could get him out."

    Hysterical.

  4. Ok, so you have Boomer on his last legs for the game with two runners on. You have Timlin in the bullpen who, while masterful when he begins innings, has allowed 13 of 21 inherited runners to score. nearly two-thirds.

This is not an intelligence test that anyone should fail

Also, PUT OLERUD IN THE GAME IF THE SOX HAVE THE LEAD!

That having been said, there is no need to panic. Its just not cool to watch Terry drop the ball like that.

  5. loading the bases in the top of the ninth and failing to score is not cool either...
