I remember now...

I hate to bump my answer to the challenge (see below) down, but there are few things I forgot to mention.

One: This is one of the cooler, weirder things I've heard. Its called Symphony for Dot Matrix Printers. As the title suggest, it's music performed entirely by dot matrix printers, with mics and amplifiers attatched to the printers and the power supplies.

Two: Another musical something, though of a different nature. I'll let this one speak for itself

Three: As it happens, I was born approxamately 18 years, 364 days, 18 hours, and 20 minutes ago, which is to say that sometime around 6 o' clock EST tommorrow (I forget the precise time) I will be exactly 19 years old. Don't know quite how I feel about that. Maybe I will in a few hours.

Peace, love, and tossin' bricks,
EW

Happy birthday dude! Hope you have a SuperWombat day.

That symphony for dot matrix printers is serious fuckin' genius. I love it, and I'm gonna play it on the radio next time I do a graveyard shift.

  4. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back...and I always forget the rest...maybe it's not even appropriate for a birthday wish...so how about this:

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK

  5. 19 is a fine age. It's really pretty good, because you're still a teenager and not required to hold any adult-like qualities. 20 is the year you have to watch out for. You're not old enough to hang out an a bar, if that's your thing. Even if it's not, it's a really odd age. Chicks may not talk to you when you're 20 and they're 18. 21 is the best, and I argue every year after that is fantastic. Some say it's all downhill, but that's just the pessimistic view. 23+ sucks when you're friends with people 21 or under, because you're viewed at the shady old guy. I'm 24, i'm that shady old guy. luckily i'm okay with it. :)

    Happy birthday dude

  7. Is it just me or was the dot matrix printer symphony very...ambient and well, dark? I could see that being the theme music for the machine army in "the Matrix" or for Skynet or something.

  9. I hated being 19, but then again, I've hated every age except 12 for some odd reason.

Mickerdoo - If you're a 24 year old girl and you're seen around 19 year old boys, are you considered a shady older girl? If so, I can add that to my resume in June! Yay! It'll be novel.

Anyway, EssyPants, Happy Birthday, and I hope you have a stunningly marvelous year!

  12. You know what the big 2-0 is a big let down. Cause its the big 2-0 it sounds exciting when your 19 and under.. but you get to it and realize youre so close yet so far away. So enjoy the 19 while it lasts buddy.

  13. 20K: *hugs* I know not where, but that is what makes the adventure all the more great.

Sammy: I'll remember that. The way you describe the 2-0 makes it sound a lot like the year 2000 before it actually arrived
